The past few times I've been here, the employees have been moving extremely slow! Not sure what's going on, but it takes forever to get your burrito made! Still love the product though!

As far as chains go, I dig Qdoba and Chipotle! Lots of vegan options. The lines move fast, the food is always good and hot and the employees at both chains are always really nice. This location is no different than any others I have been to around the country! Hot, Fast food, that will fill you up in no time! I dig the burrito bowls or the actual Veggie Burrito, I dig that they put guac on the veggie burrito for free and the staff here does not skimp on beans, rice, or salsa's! Little tip when they ask what kinda of beans you want, SAY BOTH they will hook you up, to the point of your burrito being so big that it falls apart and you have to eat it with a fork! I'm totally cool with that!

Food was tasteful. I got the Steak burrito bowl and it was good. This place kind of reminds me of Chipotle. The section where you pick your ingredients was really dirty and most of the ingredients were finished and they weren't restocked. The sitting area including the tables could have used a little cleaning too. This place definitely has potentials if they keep it clean.

I am glad they opened this place close to downtown. Although I am a Chipotle guy, I usually can't make it so far out of town to enjoy Chipotle, this is the next best thing close to downtown. There is The Fighting Burrito, but this location is a bit closer to other places and parking is easier with this parking lot. They have great Queso, not as good Guac compared to Chipotle obviously. Their staff members are always nice. Their interior design is very fresh and modern. Would continue to eat here, never had any issues here.

We love Qdoba's food and often visit the chain, but this location has gone seriously down hill in their standards. The restaurant was filthy with food and spills on the floor that went untouched the entire time we were in the restaurant, despite the fact that there were no other customers. The ingredients were dried out and crusty, and the countertops were just nasty. The staff was rude and careless in their prep of our food. The employee who made my burrito tore the tortilla wide open but just wrapped it up and pretended it hadn't happened. The chairs and high chairs were filthy, and neither my husband or I finished our meal because we were so grossed out.

I am so glad that Qdoba opened up on Ingersoll! The location is absolutely perfect! It's on the way to work for me, and it's not too far away from work, should I get a craving. Chipotle, though equally good, is too far away for a lunch break. I also prefer this location over the one on University Ave. This Qdoba is open until 10 p.m. every night. Love the pulled pork burrito with queso. Add that with a Barq's Root Beer and it's pure heaven. If I'm with someone, I'll get the chips and queso and/or guac. I also like how they have the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine (for some odd reason, when they first opened, they only had fountain drinks, but I guess they were waiting at the time for the FreeStyle.) Also, this location is in the same building as T-Mobile, Menchie's Frozen Yogurt and Noodles & Company, so Qdoba isn't the only one that has picked a great location! There's free parking, too! Now we just need a Five Guys Burgers and Fries nearby... Thanks again, Qdoba for opening a Central Des Moines location!

This place is awesome! It is new and clean. It is a nice place to study and eat some Queso. The staff is nice. Sometimes it is busy around lunch, but it is worth the wait. They have a coke freestyle machine and it is next to a fro-yo place. Great place for a date or group!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
